Bucket Scanner tests

IMA is continuously developing grade control and ore sorting methods for both underground and surface mines in close co-operation with Scandinavian mines. A new research and test unit for scanning the ore directly from bucket loads is available for mine development projects.
Novel IMA “Rock-I” technology is now applied in these Bucket Scanner units.
Elemental concentrations of ore material in the bucket are analyzed with e.g. XRF, LIF, or LIBS and the results are immediately available.
Based on the results the ore can be transported to the desired destination (concentrator, waste rock piles etc).
Successful tests have been done at an underground mine and an open pit mine.

In the pictures below there is the test unit. Above the rack is the measuring device, Probe, which slides over the bucket.
