IMACON 100 New Customer Delivery

Built in Finland. Designed for the customer’s process. Ready for installation.

A new IMACON 100 On-Stream Analyzer has been completed at our production facility in Finland and is now ready for shipment to the customer site.

Inside: precise flotation control, optimized chemical use, better grade and recovery with real-time XRF analysis.

This build features a fully containerized installation concept designed specifically around the customer’s flotation plant layout. The analyzer will be installed inside a sea container, with two slurry sample multiplexers mounted above it - creating a fully self-contained, transportable solution, ready to be lifted directly into position at the plant and connected to flotation streams with minimized on-site work.

The IMACON 100 is, IMA Engineering’s multi-stream slurry XRF analyzer for real-time elemental analysis in mineral beneficiation processes.

Using high count-rate energy-dispersive XRF detection, the system measures elements from calcium to uranium and can handle up to 20 slurry streams in a single installation. This provides continuous real-time visibility into feed, concentrate, and tailings performance across the flotation circuit.

What this delivers in the plant

  • Real-time Flotation Control - Operators can detect the grade changes in real-time, rather than waiting for hours, enabling faster process adjustments and more stable flotation performance.

  • Optimized Chemical Consumption - Chemical dosing can be matched to actual feed mineralogy, helping reduce reagent waste while improving process efficiency.

  • Grade and Recovery Optimization - Continuous monitoring enables tighter flotation control, supporting higher concentrate quality and improved metal recovery.

  • Low Lifetime Operational Costs - The system is designed for long-term reliability with robust mechanics, simplified maintenance through the Automatic Window Roller, and remote calibration support.

Built in Finland, ready to ship

The system contains:

  • IMACON analyzer probe

  • Electronic cabinet

  • Two slurry sample multiplexers

The system is fully integrated into the sea-container layout and tested before dispatch. Manufacturing follows our ISO 9001:2000 quality system.

What is IMA Engineering?

IMA Engineering has used on-line sensors for analyzing ore and waste rock in mining for over 30 years. Today IMA on-line sensors are used in various stages of the mining process including on-line analysis of drill cores, drill chips, ore, and waste in loader buckets, ROM ore analysis on conveyor belts and in bulk ore sorting, as well as in slurry analysis in concentrators.
