This week the Western Mining Group from China is visiting Finland and meeting representatives from the major mining companies in the country.

Last month we were in Peru for Perumin 34, the second-largest mining convention in the world and we were happy to meet customers and so many old and new friends.

In June IMA Engineering continued the collaboration with the Zambian mining technology through the Kitwe seminar. IMA Engineering has been appointed by the Finnish Embassy and AGS Programme Management Unit in Lusaka to conduct a feasibility study whose aim is to develop new mining businesses and encourage collaboration between Finnish and Zambian mining technology providers.

We are pleased to announced the new issue of the Africa Outlook magazine where IMA Engineering was featured. Africa Outlook is a digital and print product for business executives across a wide range of industries wanting to keep up with the latest in global news affecting African businesses.

IMA Engineering is happy to announce that the ITERAMS project reached its next stage after 2 years of hard work. Now in proof of concept phase, the teams are busy working on testing and publishing their research made in mines in Finland, Portugal and South-Africa. 

The month that just ended has been eventful for IMA Engineering. We were proud to be part of the Mining Finland Road Show in South America, attending seminars in Lima and Santiago and announcing our new collaborations.

May was a power month for IMA Engineering. We participated in a South American Roadshow and at Mines and Technology in Helsinki. This year, we attended Mines and Technology event in Helsinki together with Mining Finland.

In the context of an increasingly growing market like the one of batteries, which by 2025 is estimated to reach €250 billion, Europe wants to become the leader in innovation, digitalisation and decarbonisation. Battery production is essential for clean energy transition, therefore research and innovative technologies play a strategic role.

The publication is read by professionals in the mining industry around the world who are interested in the latest innovations and solutions that help lowering costs, increase performance, enhance safety and maximise production.

IMA Engineering is taking part in the ITERAMS project which is developing solutions to improve efficiency and profitability in mining. The project’s aim is to improve the recycling of water, the valorisation of tailing and the minimisation of the environmental footprint in mines.

In early February IMA Engineering together with the Embassy of Finland from Lusaka visited Mabiza Munali Nickel Mine and RAP-village. The Finnish government has been supporting development projects in Zambia for more than 45 years.
